How to apply for an FE teaching job
Whether you're at the very beginning of your journey or already have an idea of the steps needed, this page will explain the different stages to becoming a Further Education teacher.
Decide if FE is for you
Teaching in further education can offer you the opportunity to support students in furthering their careers by teaching them your skills. At the same time, teaching offers several benefits including well-supported career development, a competitive salary, and more leave than many professions!
However, changing you career is a big step that requires serious consideration. To help decide if FE is for you, read our page on what the further education sector is. Then consider what to expect in the daily life of an FE teacher.
